CALLING ALL AUTHORS AND ILLUSTRATORS
IN THE 3RD-12TH GRADE!
The READ3Zero Literacy Non-Profit Organization offers students in the 3rd-12th grades the opportunity to submit short stories, poetry and art work to our annual publishing contest called, I Write Short Stories by Kids for Kids. Each year we pick 50 winners to be published in our anthology and invited to our big annual book signing celebration in Houston, Texas.
This is a great opportunity for children to see their work professionally published and available at bookstores and online at Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble.com. Being published at a young age is great for future resumes and applications! All profits made from the sale of I Write books are used at the organization to run our programs and get free I Write Anthologies into the hands of students at title one schools.
Join our team of published kids and be sure to submit your stories, poetry and/or art work with signed entry forms by May 1st each year. First round submissions are accepted December 1st through May 1st. Finalists will be named at the end of July. Revisions will be accepted through August 31st. Our 50 Winners will be announced on our website and published in the next Anthology, released in the wintertime. All winners will receive one complimentary copy of the anthology and tickets to the book signing celebration.
